Donation Disclosure
At The Caring Gift Shop, we are committed to supporting charitable causes through our business.
A portion of proceeds from eligible sales is allocated for donation to qualified U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, including organizations located in California.
Donation amounts are determined by The Caring Gift Shop and may vary based on overall sales, business performance, and promotional activity.
Unless explicitly stated in connection with a specific promotion or product, purchases do not correspond to a fixed dollar amount or percentage donation.
Commercial Co‑Venture Compliance (California)
In accordance with California law governing commercial co‑ventures, The Caring Gift Shop:
- Conducts charitable sales promotions in compliance with applicable California Business & Professions Code requirements
- Ensures that represented charitable contributions are accurately calculated and fulfilled
- Maintains records of promotional campaigns and the donations associated with those campaigns
- Provides disclosures when a promotion involves a specific advertised donation amount or percentage
Where required, The Caring Gift Shop may enter into written agreements with nonprofit partners and ensure any applicable state filings or reporting obligations are satisfied.
Important Consumer Information
- Purchases made through The Caring Gift Shop are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions
- The Caring Gift Shop retains sole discretion over the selection of nonprofit organizations, as well as the timing, frequency, and amount of donations, unless otherwise explicitly disclosed
- Not all products, discounts, or promotional offers may qualify toward charitable donations
- Donation programs, nonprofit recipients, and campaign terms are subject to change without notice unless otherwise required by law
Promotion-Specific Disclosures
For any promotion that advertises a specific donation (e.g., “10% of proceeds” or “$1 per purchase”):
- The exact donation amount or percentage will be clearly stated
- Any maximum or cap on total donations will be disclosed
- The recipient nonprofit organization(s) will be identified
- The campaign timeframe will be specified
Nonprofit Participation
Nonprofit organizations must be valid U.S.-based 501(c)(3) entities to be considered.

Charitable Giving Program Terms & Conditions
1. Program Overview
The Caring Gift Shop (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a charitable giving program through which a portion of proceeds from eligible sales may be donated to qualified nonprofit organizations.
All donations are made by the Company and not by individual customers.
2. Donation Structure
A portion of proceeds from eligible purchases is allocated for donation to qualified U.S.-based nonprofit organizations recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Unless explicitly stated in connection with a specific product or promotion:
- No fixed dollar amount or percentage of any individual purchase is guaranteed to be donated
- Donations are calculated on an aggregate basis across sales
- Donation amounts may vary based on business performance, costs, returns, promotions, and other operational factors
3. Commercial Co‑Venture Compliance (California)
For any charitable sales promotions conducted in California:
- The Company complies with applicable California commercial co‑venture laws
- Any promotion advertising a specific donation amount or percentage will include required disclosures, including:
- The donation amount or percentage
- Any maximum donation cap
- The name(s) of the benefiting nonprofit organization(s)
- The start and end dates of the promotion
- Where required, the Company will maintain written agreements with nonprofit partners and fulfill applicable recordkeeping and reporting requirements
4. Eligible Transactions
Not all transactions may qualify toward charitable contributions. Exclusions may include but are not limited to:
- Discounts, coupons, or promotional pricing
- Shipping, handling, taxes, or third-party fees
- Refunded, cancelled, or returned purchases
The Company reserves the right to determine which sales are eligible.
5. Timing of Donations
Donations are made periodically at the Company’s discretion. The timing and frequency of contributions may vary and are not tied to individual transactions unless explicitly stated.
6. Selection of Nonprofit Organizations
The Company retains sole discretion over:
- Selection and approval of nonprofit partners
- Allocation of donation amounts among organizations
- Continuation or discontinuation of relationships with any nonprofit
All recipient organizations must be verified U.S.-based 501(c)(3) entities.
7. Nonprofit Participation
Submission of information by a nonprofit organization does not constitute:
- Acceptance into the program
- A guarantee of partnership
- A guarantee of funding

8. No Tax Deduction for Customers
Purchases made through The Caring Gift Shop are not tax-deductible charitable contributions for customers. Donations are made solely by the Company.
9. No Guarantee of Individual Impact
Individual purchases are not associated with a specific donation amount or specific nonprofit beneficiary unless explicitly stated in a promotional offer.
All contributions are made on a pooled, aggregate basis.
10. Program Modifications
The Company reserves the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or terminate the charitable giving program at any time
- Change nonprofit partners, donation structures, or eligibility criteria
- Update these Terms & Conditions without prior notice, except where required by law
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:
- Any perceived or unintended allocation of donations
- Changes to nonprofit participation or program structure
- Any indirect or consequential damages related to the charitable giving program
